GIB Main Partner of the 2021 Saudi International Golf Tournament for the Third Consecutive Year

As part of its commitment to support sport and entertainment in Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030, Gulf International Bank (GIB) is a main sponsor of the 2021 Saudi International Golf Tournament powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers for the third year in a row.

The tournament will be held at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City from 4 to 7 February. The world’s leading stars of golf such as American Dustin Johnson, 2020 US Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau, and the defending champion Graeme McDowell from Northern Ireland, will participate in the tournament.

GIB Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulaziz Al-Helaissi, commented: “GIB’s partnership with the Saudi International is part of the Bank’s efforts to support sport and community activities that have an international dimension and cultural impact in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.”

The Saudi International will be the third professional golf tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia, which reflects an effort to further establish this international game in the Saudi sport environment. The two other tournaments were the Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by the Public Investment Fund and the Saudi Ladies Team International.
