GIB Launches Its 2022 Internship Programme for New Graduates in Bahrain

Gulf International Bank (GIB) B.S.C. today announced the launch of its internship programme in Bahrain for new university graduates in line with the bank’s strategy to support the development and empowerment of Bahraini youth and train the next generation of business leaders. 

 

The six-month programme aims to give participants valuable exposure and skills training in the financial services sector. This year’s programme kicked off on 6 November with a cohort of 11 graduates who upon successful completion of the programme will be ready for employment opportunities within the financial services sector. 

 

Commenting, CEO of GIB, Jamal Al Kishi, said, “We’re very pleased to commence this year’s internship programme to support talented Bahrainis in enhancing their skills for future professional roles and responsibilities in the banking sector. For the 2022 internship programme, we are partnering with BIBF to strengthen the experience for our interns and their access to world-class training even further. I am personally delighted that GIB is playing such a role in developing local nationals for future leadership positions in the financial services sector.”

 

GIB, Deputy Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Jamal Hejris, added: “As part of GIB’s commitment to talent development at all levels, we have created a multifaceted programme and approach to ensure interns get the most out of this experience at a critical juncture in their professional lives. To maximise their learning, we are using a combination of classroom learning, digital learning and on the job training to help them develop the skills that are essential for future career success.
